Friendly village inn, just 25 mins by car or train to the city centre, airport, Braehead, SECC and many more attractions.
Uplawmoor Hotel is a warm friendly village inn that has been welcoming guests and travellers through its doors since the middle of the 18th century. The ubiquitous Rabbie Burns is known to have carried out some of his shenanigans en route to Glasgow and beyond. In the intervening centuries, methods, procedures and tastes may have changed but the welcome at Uplawmoor has remained the same. Our well trained staff will ensure that your stay is everything you want it to be, be that pleasure or business.
Offering genuine Scottish hospitality we place you, our guest, at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated kitchen staff work tirelessly producing superb home made food - everything from our legendary bread and breakfast preserves to the superb steak pie, are all freshly made on the premises. Even down to the tartare sauce served with our fish and chips.
Our award winning food begins by sourcing the finest local and seasonal ingredients, treating it with care and respect before serving it on a plate for your delectation. Our Scottish beef comes from 5 local farms all within the Renfrewshire area and is hung to give it the finest maturing taste. Scotland's natural larder also provides us with delicious seafood, venison and cheeses. Our extensive menu gives you the opportunity to enjoy Scotland's cuisine at its finest - whether you want a wholesome, hearty meal or to delight in the lighter, finer offerings of the country, you will find something to suit all tastes here at Uplawmoor.
Our breakfast will set you up for the day as we entice you with a buffet of cereals, fruits and juices, to be followed by a tasty grill with Stornoway Black Pudding or how about an Arbroath Smokie. All polished with freshly brewed coffee and a selection of teas. This breakfast will set you up for your day of activity.
Having arrived at Uplawmoor after your journey our bedrooms will provide you with a home from home comfort, flat screen TVs, WIFI access and hospitality trays. Our snugly duvets and pillow will send you off to sleep planning your next day.
Uplawmoor is superbly situated in the central belt of Scotland to offer you an abundance of choice. Only 20 minutes from Glasgow, and also connecting to excellent train links to the city centre, our hotel allow you to enjoy the best of both worlds - the buzz and cultural attraction of a cosmopolitan modern city and the genuine warmth of a small village.
Glasgow is home to some of the finest attractions in the UK. The SECC is Scotland's premier concert and conference venue welcoming the world's biggest pop and rock stars and is about to be joined in 2013 with The Hydro, a new 12000 seater venue.
The Theatre Royal, Kings, Pavillion, Citizens and Tron make up the other theatres in the city, showing everything from amateur dramatics to our National Theatre productions, as well as the world's finest opera and ballet productions.
The museums of Glasgow cover all sorts of historical, social and cultural movements of the city and the world. The work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh can be found in various venues across the city including the Hunterian Museum and the Glasgow School of Art. The Burrell Collection, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and the new Riverside (Transport) Museum are firm favourites of Glasgwegians and city visitors alike.
Glasgow also offers some of the finest shopping in Britain outside of London. It has an abundance of High Street names, fashion design labels and small, local artisan businesses.
However should you not want to visit cities on your trip to Uplawmoor we are also on the doorstep of some great rural attractions. The Burns Trail allows you to follow the history of the man renowned throughout the world for his beautiful poetry and song writing. Ayrshire as well as being the home of the Bard offers some fine beaches and golf courses, most notably at Troon and Turnberry.
Loch Lomond and the National Park can be accessed from Uplawmoor for a day trip or stay here as the launch or end to your visit to Scotland.
