Each of these holiday homes in Edinburgh is in a centrally located yet quiet one-bedroom apartment of an architecturally significant building (B-listed) with charming views. Flat 6 is on the second floor and Flat 2 is on the first floor. Situated on Forrest Hill off George IV Bridge, close to the historic Royal Mile in the centre of Scotland's beautiful capital city, the apartments are within easy walking distance of the major tourist attractions, Festival venues, shops, night life and transport connections. Each apartment sleeps two people and can comfortably sleep another one or two guests on request on a sofa bed in the living room. All linen and towels are included in the price. The apartments are an ideal base for a short city break in Edinburgh or for a longer holiday if you want to explore further afield.

The apartments are situated on Forrest Hill, a quiet side street off Forrest Road, which leads up to the Royal Mile, in the heart of Edinburgh's historic Old Town. The building dates from 1739 and was originally the Edinburgh Charity Workhouse, though it has long since been converted in to comfortable homes. Edinburgh's main visitor attractions are on your doorstep and the neighbourhood is full of attractive independent shops and restaurants and bars to suit all budgets, from cheap and cheerful cafes to fine dining establishments. The Hub (the official centre for the Edinburgh International Festival) and the Festival Fringe office are on the Royal Mile, and you can easily walk to many of the Festival venues. You are also ideally placed to enjoy the Christmas and Hogmanay/New Year festivities.

These apartments are cosy and quiet retreats full of Old Town charm. The accommodation comprises a living-room, kitchen, double bedroom and shower-room.

The homely living room has a peaceful outlook. There is a fireplace and a small dining area for those occasions when you pass up the temptations of Edinburgh's exciting restaurant scene. The sofa converts in to a double sofa bed and there is a comfortable armchair. An attractive rug sets off the polished wooden floors, and there is a TV (with DVD player). Free wifi internet access is provided.

The modern kitchen is well provided with crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchenware, as well as a washing machine, fridge-freezer, cooker and microwave.

The apartment has heating, and the price of electricity and gas is included. For the comfort of future guests, the apartment is non-smoking and pets are not allowed. Spanish, German and Russian spoken.
