Each of these holiday homes in Edinburgh is in a bright centrally located one-bedroom apartment of an architecturally significant building with stunning views. Flat 14 is on the fourth (top) floor and Flat 12 is on the third floor. Situated off the Royal Mile in the centre of Scotland's beautiful capital city, the apartments are within easy walking distance of the major tourist attractions, Festival venues, shops, night life and transport connections. Each apartment sleeps two people and can comfortably sleep another two guests on request on a sofa bed in the living room. All linen and towels are included in the price and for lets of more than ten days these are replaced. The apartments are an ideal base for a short city break in Edinburgh or for a longer holiday if you want to explore further afield.

The apartments are situated on Jeffrey Street, off the Royal Mile, in the heart of Edinburgh's historic Old Town. The Scots Baronial building, built in 1891, has been deemed of sufficient architectural importance to merit a category B listing. Jeffrey Street and St Mary's Street straddle the Royal Mile, the backbone of medieval Edinburgh, which connects Edinburgh Castle at one end with the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the new Parliament at the other. Edinburgh's main visitor attractions are on your doorstep and the neighbourhood is full of attractive independent shops and restaurants, bars and cafes to suit all budgets, from cheap and cheerful pizzerias to fine dining establishments. The Hub (the official centre for the Edinburgh International Festival) and the Festival Fringe office are on the Royal Mile and you can easily walk to many of the Festival venues. You are also ideally placed to enjoy the Christmas and Hogmanay (New Year) festivities.

The accommodation has views over the city rooftops. Each apartment comprises a living room with dining area, a kitchen, and a double bedroom; Flat 14 has a bathroom with bathtub and shower over; Flat 12 has a shower-room with walk-in shower. Unique to this building is the shared roof terrace, accessed from the top of the entrance stairway, and which has spectacular panoramic views over the city, sea and hills. In each of the apartments there is a living room with double sofabed and a dining area; a kitchen, well provided with crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchenware, as well as a washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave and cooker; a double bedroom, fully carpeted and attractively furnished; a bathroom/shower-room with wash-hand basin and shower.

Each apartment has gas central heating. The price of gas and electricity is included. For the comfort of future guests the apartment is non-smoking and pets are not allowed. Spanish, German and Russian spoken.
