Overview

The cottages can sleep from 2 to 4 guests with a total of 12 guests if you decided to hire them all for a family and friends gathering.

The red sandstone Scottish farm steadings were converted with great attention to detail, (under floor heating, power shower, broadband access in all the cottages and much more).
Only over one hour by car from Edinburgh, the Steadings sits on the edge of Glen Isla, high above the Vale of Strathmore. Imagine yourself sitting in the garden with a glass of wine or "...a cup of coffee, with only the sound of a few sparrows and the water feature, staring across fertile farmlands and the Sidlaw Hills. Glen Doll cottage even has its own decking area. You just have to arrive with your food (although we provide tea and coffee), everything else is taken care off so no need to bring washing up liquid, washing powder, kitchen paper, toilet rolls etc"....We also provide Body Shop shampoo and conditioner as well as shower gels.
Attention to details is a must for us. Only the best towels and bed linen will do. The boiler room is just wonderful for drying boots and jackets after long walks in the countryside.

We will send you a list of items we provide with the cottages so you do not have to bring unnecessary items. All cottages have free broadband access. We accept all major credit and debit cards - We guarantee to reply to your request with 24 hours.

Glen Doll: Sleeps 2 (one double room) . It has been designed to make good use of space. The living area has a pull down bed for a good night's sleep. The shower room has a stylish walk in shower, ladder towel warmer, WC and basin. It has its own Patio/Deck with wonderful views.

Glen Prosen: Sleeps 2 (one super king size bed). Very popular with couples wanting to get away from it all. Ensuite shower room. Heated towel rails.
The split level lounge has a stone wall feature and French doors out to the large central courtyard.

Glen Isla: Sleeps 4 Two bedroom and two bathrooms (one bedroom) with a double bed and ensuite shower room, one twin room with bathroom opposite with bath tub/shower heated towel rails.

Glen Clova: Sleeps 4 Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom with twin beds. Bathroom with walk in power shower, and bathtub, heated towel rails.

There is a 10% discount if you stay two weeks.
Arrival and departure time: As we are in the hospitality industry we understand that you might not be able to take time off just from Saturday to Saturday, so, just let us know when you want to come and we will try to work with you to accommodate your dates. Arrival time is 4pm and departure 11am. We also accept bookings for short breaks with a minimum of two nights.

Pets are very welcome as long as they bring their own bed and do not sleep in bedrooms and climb on our sofas"....

All the cottages are strictly non smoking (you can of course smoke outside "...)

Activities: You can enjoy the great country life with plenty of fresh air and activities galore such as golfing, fishing, horse riding, hill walking in the beautiful Angus Glens or just walks in Kirriemuir. Visit Peter Pan's house and eat a delicious ice cream at Visocchies.

Good Food: We are in the middle of very rich farmland country with great local produce, in the summer you cannot beat the raspberries! There are many great places to eat within a 10 miles distance, from great country pubs such as the Glen Clova Hotel to Country Houses such as the Lands of Loyal Hotel and Kinloch House.

Alyth is a lovely town for shopping and only 2 miles away with its one bank, post office, ironmonger, grocer, baker and a fabulous butcher"....you have to try Mike Dorward meat pies and he also sells great cheeses"....

And if our neighbour's hens are in a good moo
