Located in Lochinver, set amid one of the last great unspoiled wildernesses in Europe, this prestigious Lodge offers a peaceful retreat of outstanding natural beauty. For anglers, walkers, bird-watchers or anyone who loves nature, a stay here gives you the opportunity to experience the spectacular natural environment while enjoying the luxurious facilities the Lodge has to offer.
Some of wildlife you can expect to see during a stay are Atlantic seals, red deer, otters, leaping salmon, brown trout and even golden eagles and many other species of bird life. From its hillside setting, the Lodge looks down onto the quiet fishing village of Lochinver, and across the clear waters of the loch to the Mountains of Assynt.
Recently built, the property has been designed to envelop its occupants with luxury, comfort, relaxation with nature at its core. As well as luxury, the property was also built with the environment in mind. The logs used to build the property where sourced from an organisation dedicated to tree regeneration to maintain the great forests they were cut from in Tennesse, America. The Lodge is also been fitted with a geothermal heating system, which provides substantial warmth with very low carbon emission rates. To compliment this, under floor heating throughout the lodge provides warmth underfoot for added comfort.
For the romantics, there is a log fire which can be enjoyed while sipping on a glass of wine, and listening to your favorite tracks on our top of the range bowers and wilkins ipod docking station, all this while taking in the breath taking views before you. One of the highlights of the property is the outdoor Hot Tub. What could be better than relaxing at the end of your day in a warm bubbling Hot Tub under the stars looking over the amazing views of the bay and magnificent Assynt mountain range? Without a doubt Waterloo Lodge will provide you with a holiday experience unlike any other in the area.
