Stroll along to the Bridge Inn for some refreshments or cross the lane and join the riverside walk which leads all the way to Muiravonside Country Park. If the bustle of a busy holiday park isn’t your idea of a holiday, the peaceful surroundings of Waterside Cottage are for you.
A short drive into Linlithgow brings you to a historic High Street with its high quality restaurants, cafes and bars. In the centre of Linlithgow stands the entrance to Linlithgow palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots and many of the Stewart kings. Stroll around the loch and feed the swans, explore the Linlithgow Heritage Trail or relax in a pavement café. From the centre of Linlithgow take a fast train into the centre of Edinburgh for the evening, or take a day trip to Glasgow or Stirling.
Waterside Cottage has been recently upgraded and offers you self-catering accommodation of very high quality, fully modern yet retaining its 200 years of character. The cottage has a log stove, modern kitchen and bathroom, 3 bedrooms (one double, one twin and one single), a south-facing courtyard garden with decking and patio furniture, and private parking.
