West Cottage in charming Crail is a beautiful self catering cottage offering luxury accommodation in the East Neuk of Fife. Enjoy a holiday by the sea with an award-winning beach nearby and the famous Fife Coastal Path only two minutes away. St Andrews and local golf courses are on your doorstep. Everything has been thought of to make your stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible.
This is Scotland at its best and the perfect place for your holiday!
West Cottage is an annex to Denburn House and situated at the eastern end of Marketgate. You will find us next to Crail Church.
West Cottage has been allocated two private parking places. To the front of the cottage you will find a small seaside garden with an inviting bench., looking out to the sea.
The cottage is laid out over 3 floors. On the ground floor you will find the large kitchen-diner which offers all amenities including the dishwasher, a microwave, a cooker and a washer-dryer. We also provide an Ipod player so you can have your music at your fingertips.The kitchen and dining room are well equipped with more than ample crockery, cutlery and glass ware, including champagne flutes. In one of the cupboards you will find a supply of coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper. We also have an espresso machine available.If you fancy a picnic by the seaside, just look for our picnic ware. You will find a suitable basket and a blanket in the cupboard under the stairs.
Also on the ground floor, you will find the family bathroom, which is well stocked with toiletries, toilet paper and fluffy towels. There is a bath with a shower over - and lashings of hot water.
You will find your bedrooms on the first floor. The front bedroom overlooking the sea offers comfortable accommodation with beautiful décor. There is a small but well appointed en suite. You will find a beautiful chest of drawers in the room, but please note that the hanging wardrobe is just outside on the landing, opposite the bedroom door. The second bedroom overlooks the beautiful Crail Church (don't worry, the bells are rarely in action). This bedroom is charmingly appointed and features a large closet.
Please note that both bedrooms offer excellent beds and mattresses, as well as mattress toppers and crisp bedlinen.
On the top floor you will find the living room. This is a charming space, overlooking the historic Marketgate. A comfortable sofa and two fabulous armchairs invite you to sit down and enjoy the stunning view through the French doors. Enjoy the East Neuk sunshine by sitting on the balcony, which offers you a lovely view. There are chairs and also deck chairs available. If you have enjoyed the view and are looking for a different kind of entertainment, you have recourse to a TV/DVD player (with Freeview) and a hifi system, complete with Ipod speaker. We offer a selection of books, games, DVDs and CDs for your entertainment.
