West Ferlochan is a well appointed 4* traditional Scottish Hill Farm cottage by the shores of Loch Creran which is designated as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). Fully modernised in 2011, it comfortably sleeps 4-6 in two double bedrooms with an additional twin children’s bedroom. With a fully equipped and modern kitchen/diner and comfortable lounge with open fire, it makes an ideal base to explore the beautiful West Highlands of Scotland and the Scottish Isles. Oban, which is the “Gateway to the Scottish Isles”, is less than 10 miles; Fort William, considered to be the 'outdoor capital of the UK', is less than a hour's drive away. The cottage is part of a 220-acre working farm which is home to the internationally known Mottistone Fold of Highland Cattle, including many Scottish Champions. There are many walks across the farm and up to Sguir Mhor which offers spectacular and panoramic views across Loch Creran to the mountains beyond. Good size utility for storing boots/coats.
