Overview

Ideally located to explore the beauty of the Solway coast and Galloway Built fifty years ago as a family holiday home, has been recently refurbished, now with central heating and insulated.

Set in over an acre and surrounded by fields, the house is ten to fifteen minutes walk from Sweetheart Abbey, village shop and two hotels in village square, historic Corn Mill and National Museum of Costume in Shambellie House, also CoS church and Catholic chapel.
Dumfries 7 miles, Carlisle 40 miles, Edinburgh and Glasgow around 90 miles.

A great area for walkers, with hills to climb and forest or coastal walks. Castles to visit. Close to 7Stanes mountain biking venues. Golf Courses. Nature Reserves, and Gardens to see.
Historical connection with Robert the Bruce and Robert Burns.

Has been altered for wheelchair access include the addition of a ramp and widened doorways. Two downstairs bedrooms, the twin bedroom with electric profiling beds and direct access to wet room. Electric hoist and wheeled shower chair/commode available.

Has excellent communal areas, with open plan Kitchen/Dining room, living room with open fire and conservatory
