West Plean House

Overview

It is situated in the middle of our mixed arable and livestock farm, about 3 miles from the historic city of Stirling, known as the Gateway to the Highlands of Scotland.

We offer Bed & Breakfast for the discerning visitor who appreciates quality, space and tranquillity and desires easy accessibility, and many of our guests return to us year after year. The house, set slightly apart from the farm steading, is surrounded by extensive lawns with mature trees. We encourage our guests to stroll into the Walled Garden and also to take a walk through our newly developed Azalea and Rhododendron plantings, and then follow the paths into the woodlands, where have a superb display of daffodils in Spring.

Other attractions include feeding the ducks on the pond, and taking the short walk within the farm to the site of an Iron Age Homestead with its panoramic views of Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, and West to the scenic mountains and hills of the Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park.

When you visit you are welcomed into a farming family home of spacious character and comfort.

At West Plean, you will enjoy the highest quality full Scottish breakfast which is generous and varied, with many locally sourced ingredients. Special dietary requirements are catered for by prior arrangement.

Children of all ages are made most welcome and a cot and highchair are available.

Please explore our web site to learn more of what West Plean House, and our beautiful Scottish countryside and historic castles and cities, can bring to your vacation in Scotland.

We hope you enjoy browsing our site, and look forward to welcoming you to Scotland!
