Westacre Lodge is situated near the famous Gleneagles Hotel, just 5 miles from Crieff (off the A85) and forms an excellent base for touring many of Scotland's famous and historic attractions. Sitting within its own walled garden and with a feature pond to the front of the property, the Lodge is located within a picturesque setting and has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside - whatever the season.
On arrival, you will be met by the owners, Isabel and Matt, who will guide you around the property. The ground floor of the Lodge consists of a twin bedroom, bathroom (with over-bath power shower), dining room, lounge and kitchen - all furnished to VisitScotland 4* Classification. The kitchen is fully fitted out for self-catering and includes a dishwasher, gas hob & oven as well as cooking utensils and crockery. There is a spacious lounge with a large wide screen TV and DVD to compliment the wood-burning stove. All bed linen, towels etc are supplied.
The first floor features the main double bedroom and bathroom, with its panoramic view southwards to the Ochil Hills.
Should you wish to eat out, world class hotels and local villages offer a range of dining experiences to suit every pocket and taste, with local produce usually featuring strongly on the menu. There is extensive farmland and woodland to explore, offering peaceful walks and abundant wildlife. For the more energetic there are many superb golf courses close at hand for golfers of all abilities and across all price ranges. Walking is also a very popular pursuit and for the more ambitious walker or climber the area has many challenging Munroes to tackle.
