    Ideally situated on a mixed working hill farm offering tranquility without isolation, just one mile from Hawick, shops, restaurants, leisure centre and award winning park.

    This original semi detached farm workers cottage nestles at the head of a valley which is approached along the farm road which ends at the cottage offering total peace from noise and traffic. A little stream runs in front of the cottage and there are glorious uninterrupted views of the hills and grazing stock. Wiltonburn is a 400 acre mixed farm and we have cattle, sheep, horses, cats, dogs and geese. You might well see red squirrels, rabbits, hares, herons, buzzards and badgers! The cottage retains many of the original features and have open fires in the sitting room, with electric storage and panel heaters in other rooms. There is an enclosed garden with rustic picnic facility and a barbeque.

    From the nearest information centre:- From Hawick, 1 mile south of Hawick on A7 turn right onto B711 (Roberton) road, turn immediately right again and follow road along riverside, keeping left around corner and on through, No Through Road, sign. Continue for 1 mile to end of road. The farm house is white and on the right, continue on keeping left to cottage at end of track.

    Getting there by railway:- From Carlisle follow signs for A7 Galashiels/Hawick for 40 miles, 1 mile before south of Hawick turn left onto Roberton Road, over bridge turn immediately right and follow road along riverside, keep left around corner and on through, No Through road sign, continue for approximately 1 mile to end of road. Farmhouse is white house on right, continue on keeping left to cottage at end of track. Please do not turn in at Briery Hill - even if "Sat Nav" tells you too!

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From town of Hawick 1 mile south of Hawick on A7, turn right onto B711 (Roberton) road, turn immediately right again and follow road along riverside keeping left around corner and on through No Through Road sign.     Getting there by ferry:- From Newcastle follow signs for Newcastle Airport, for Jedburgh road and continue for approximately 40 miles. At top of hill Carter Bar border point, turn left for Bonchester Bridge and continue to Hawick for a further 15 miles. Follow signs A7 south.
