Willy Wallace Hostel

Welcome to Willy Wallace Hostel - 2 mins walk from the station in Stirling, the historic heart of central Scotland - an independent backpackers hostel that also provides excellent good value accommodation to families and groups.

Welcome to Willy Wallace Hostel, an independent backpacker hostel in the centre of Stirling. The Willy Wallace is two minutes from the train and bus station in Stirling and  is well known for its friendly atmosphere, large welcoming common room with tall elegant windows, and well equipped self catering kitchen.  Dormitories vary in size from 8 - 18 bunks, plus there are 3 comfortable private rooms which can include families.

The Willy Wallace is in an interesting ornate Victorian building and is ideal for independent travellers.  It has a very sociable atmosphere and many travellers have made long lasting friendships whilst staying here.  Some have even met their future partners and there have even been a couple of weddings!

Families are welcome, and the family room is spacious enough for a family of four with TV,DVD, and iPod docking station.  Children also enjoy the cosy atmosphere in the common room. Although there are plenty of options for eating out or parents can save money by cooking in our self catering kitchen.  The hostel is close to the shops should a treat be required.

We offer special deals for groups of any size up to 54.  We have had school children, sports teams and fans, orchestras and bands, student groups, theatre and dance groups, music fans, stag and hen nights, family gatherings and reunions.

The Willy Wallace is a great place to hold a house party, with beds for all your friends.  You can keep the cost down by being creative yourself in our well equipped kitchen, or if you need a break from the kitchen there are numerous restaurants close by for all budgets and tastes.  There are clubs and pubs within easy reach, and plenty to do and see in the day time.

Special arrangements can be made for tailor-made weekends for groups. Whether you want an energetic time such as white water rafting, cycling or walking, or a relaxing time with your own cook, some gentle sightseeing and a cultural evening, for example.  Whatever you want can be arranged.

Stirling, the Gateway to the Highlands, is a popular tourist destination because of its famous castle and central place in Scottish history.  William Wallace – hero of Braveheart won his famous victory against the English at Stirling Bridge in 1297.

Nearby at Loch Lomond and the Trossachs you can explore some of Scotland's most famous scenic countryside, with lochs and heather covered hills.  Stirling is also close to both Edinburgh and Glasgow, being between the two, and the Willy Wallace makes an ideal base for visiting both cities, and a perfect place to start and finish your tour of the Highlands.
