    Wyvis, originally 3 dwellings, is a converted mill workers cottage and dates back to around 1845. Converted into a single dwelling around the mid 1940’s, Wyvis offers exceptional 5 Star Bed and Breakfast accommodation for a maximum of four guests and is situated in the town of Tillicoultry in Scotland’s smallest county of, Clackmannanshire.

    Wyvis has been a succesful Bed & Breakfast for over 20 years and Irene & Terry look forward to welcoming you to our family home, nestling beneath the Ochils, where a warm Scottish welcome awaits you. Our Kingseat room is a very comfortable fjve star Double room with a full ensuite bathroom, tea and coffee facilities. Whilst our Ben Cleuch room is also five star with a Double King Size bed and an adjacent private bathroom for your exclusive use. Both rooms have stunning views of the Ochils. Both rooms have complimentary Tea, Coffe and Mineral water and also have a alarm clock radio with integral iPod socket.

    The comfortable guest lounge has a wide range of publications and reading material on the local area of Clackmannanshire ("The Wee County") and all parts of Scotland, books on Scottish Cookery and a selection of games and puzzles as well as a colour TV with digital channels and a built in DVD player.

    We are within easy reach of the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow and their respective airports mainline Railway Stations, as well as Scotland's newest city of Stirling. With new transport links now completed access is quick and easy from the motorway and rail networks.
    This makes Wyvis an ideal destination for touring the beautiful scenic and historic Central Belt of Scotland, which has many places of interest to visit. It is also well located to access to the Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park, St Andrews, Crieff, Perth and Pitlochry and many other Scottish towns. Visitor attractions and historic castles, such as the unique Falkirk Wheel, Linlithgow Palace, Hopetoun House, Dunfermline Abbey, Falkland Palace are all within an hours drive from Wyvis.

    Public Transport Directions

    From Stirling, follow A91 east to Tillicoultry. Stirling Street is first left after pedestrian crossing. Wyvis is on the left at top of street.

    Getting there by railway:-

    From Stirling Railway Station take a taxi or a bus from the bus station some 800 metres away. Take service 62 to Tillicoultry, leaving the bus at the second stop and walk back towards Stirling. Stirling Street is first on your right and Wyvis is on the left at the top of the street.

    From Alloa Railway Station either take a Taxi or a bus. Take a service 63 (Stirling via Tillicoultry) bus from the bus stance which is located a short distance away. To get to the bus stance walk straight ahead on leaving the staion concourse crossing the main ring road via the pedestrian crossing, traffic light controlled, go up the stairs/ramp to the car park. walk along the side of the large building (on your left) and turn left at the end of this building. A short walk brings you to the Bus Stance. Take the bus and leave at the bus stop opposite the end of Stirling Street. Wyvis is on the left at the top of the street.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Edinburgh Airport, take the westbound A8 to Newbridge and join the M9 at Jct 9 and follow A91 to Tillicoultry. Stirling street is on your left just past the first pedestrian crossing. Wyvis is on left at the top of the street.

    From Glasgow Airport, take the east bound M8 motorway through the centre of Glasgow, leaving to join M80 at Jct 13 staying on the M80/A80/M80 until you reach Jct 6/9 at Stirling. Leave the M80 and join the A91 to Tillicoultry. Stirling street is on your left just past the first pedestrian crossing. Wyvis is on left at the top of the street.
