    The Romans, Industry, Scottish Democracy, Heritage Trails, Castles and Canals, Volcanoes - visitors to East Dunbartonshire can experience it all at East Dunbartonshire Heritage Festival!

    The festival launches with the Kirkintilloch Canal Festival, an exciting and informative week of story and activity within Kirkintilloch with a focus along the Forth & Clyde Canal. Discover the historic legacy of the Romans, local industry and more!

    East Dunbartonshire Heritage Festival will continue with a series of walking events as part of the district's week-long Outdoor Activity event. Taken in the breathtaking scenery of the Campsie Fells and Kelvin Valley and enjoy adventurous activites on Drovers trails, heritage walks, canoe safaris and more.

    Throughought September the heritage programme will include discovery events along the Antonine Wall, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Auld Kirk Museum and, the area's fascinating castles.
