Celebrate the heritage and culture of Islay through concerts, ceilidhs, open days and more
The Islay Festival has been running since the mid 1980s, and is dedicated to promoting Gaelic and Scottish culture and music to locals and visitors alike. The festival's music programme mixes concerts, ceilidh and performances from world-class performers and local talent.
Running in tandem are a series of events held at each of the island's distilleries which lift the lid on its long and continuing traditions with whisky. Gaelic language and singing workshops and concerts, guided walks and sporting events are also part of the mix of this popular week-long festival.
