On the outside 21212 is situated in a classic Edinburgh New Town Terrace just off Leith Walk, with gardens backing on to Calton hill. On the inside the grand public rooms have been transfigured into a stylish modern venue with rich fabrics and a palette of contrasting dark and soft hues. The meticulous skills of the kitchen are reflected in the precise micro-surgery of the cuisine and the complex kaleidoscope of tastes and textures that make up the succession of dishes in the format suggested by the name.
