The A D Rattray Whisky Experience and Whisky Shop will introduce you to the world of Scotch whisky and educate you about this wonderfully complex product. Explore, nose and taste an incredible selection of malts and single casks. FREE ENTRY!

Experience the true nature of Single Malt Scotch Whisky from cask to bottle at the A D Rattray Whisky Experience and Shop.
We will illustrate how whisky is made and how, over time, each cask matures and develops its individual charm and unique personality. During your visit you will have the opportunity to explore The Cask Room where you will see an example of a traditional ‘under bond’ whisky warehouse, view our working Sample Room and make use of our Tasting Room.
The A D Rattray Whisky Shop offers a diverse range of whiskies for all tastes and budgets. From known brands to lesser-known gems of individual cask bottlings, a section completely dedicated to the old and very rare alongside a selection from around the world. We have a whisky for everyone!
Whether you are a complete novice, still learning or a connoisseur, we are confident you will find your visit interesting and engaging.
    Whisky Tasting Sessions
Our Tasting Room is the perfect setting to relax and sample Scotland’s finest whiskies.
All forms of tastings are catered for from an informal introduction to whisky to organised tutorials. Tailor-made tastings can be organised for individuals or groups and can include a tour of the facilities and a personalised bottle to commemorate your visit.
When you book a formal tasting session it will consist of 5 different whiskies and normally lasts for 60 to 90 minutes. We create a tasting menu using products taken from our own portfolio and primarily includes Single Casks Whiskies - The simplest and purest form of Single Malt Whisky. You may recognise all of the distilleries, however we choose whiskies you will very rarely find as a distillery bottling.
