Battlefield Restaurant

Battlefield Rest built in 1915, a local land mark, it was a tram station and newsagent, and was once described "as the most exotic tram shelter in Scotland".

Battlefield Restaurant is a very well known restaurant in the Southside of Glasgow, the building is a 1914 tram station and a landmark of the area. It was open in 1994 and still is under the same owner with the same chefs and some waiting staff from the time of first opening. Our food quality and service has been appreciated for many years by our local clientele and food reviews.

Tagliatelle Padana - beef & pork strips with onions, peppers, mushrooms & a rich ragu sauce, parmesan: "A dished plateful of tagliatelle stirred through with an abundance of beef and pork strips, sliced mushrooms and finely chopped peppers and onions; in a meaty ragu." "Good quality meat, and both the pasta and vegetables cooked al dente. The light sauce was tasty, properly seasoned and with good depth of flavour." "A well constructed dish, with ingredients in excellent proportion."
