The City Merchant is a family run restaurant in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City area. The Almiento family have been operating the Seafood restaurant since 2009 and focus on great food, great service and always a friendly smile. The rustic restaurant along with the fresh local produce make this restaurant very popular.
For starters choose from Loch Etive Mussels, Oysters, Scallops, Langoustines and Chicken Liver pâté to name a few! Signature main courses are The Scottish Seafood Platter, Collops or Fillet Steak with Haggis Mousse, whisky and rowan jelly jus and Seared Loin of Venison with Black Pudding and Game Sauce. Sweets feature Cranachan Ice Cream with berries, Clootie Dumpling with liqueur custard or you may choose the fine Cheese Selection.
