Connage Highland Dairy

Producers & Specialist Shops

Ardersier, Inverness, IV2 7QU

A family of Highland Cheesemakers handcrafting multi award winning cheeses from home produced organic milk.

The Cheese pantry within the dairy has observation windows where you can see into the production room and watch the cheese making process.
You can taste and buy a range of artisan cheeses including our Connage Crowdie, voted the 'Best Cheese in Scotland' 2008 British Cheese Awards.

We handcraft 10 varieties of cheese so there is always plenty to see when you visit. As you arrive at the Pantry you drive through the magnificent countryside where our cows meander and graze our lush green clover fields.

Our delicious and popular Clava brie won Gold at the 2007 World Cheese Awards and by coming to the dairy you can buy a slice or in rounds.

We are also proud to say that our Dunlop cheddar was voted one of the top 10 British cheeses, by the Independant newspaper, in 2013.

Our 6 cheeses are: Connage Dunlop a Scottish Hard Cheese, Clava brie, smoked Clava brie, Connage Crowdie, Cromal traditional farmhouse, Smoked Dunlop traditional smoke over whisky barrel shavings, Connage Gouda, Gouda with cumin Connage Cheddar and Braden is Gruth (Connage Crowdie mixed with Hebridean Peat Smoked Salmon.

We also stock a range of Artisan cheeses from around Scotland, the UK and Europe including an extensive range of goat and Ewe cheeses. Also available for sale is a range of luxury chutneys, cheese boards and slates and of course a great selection of oatcakes and biscuits for cheese.

Our cafe serves a selection of Brodies teas and coffes, delicous cakes by Jean Luke of Nairn and for lunch - why not try one of our cheese platters.
Online sales also available to mainland UK with Ireland and the islands, by arrangement.
