The Cow Shed Restaurant was opened in November 2010 and offers a relaxed dining experience set in the tranquil surroundings of the Banchory countryside. With an eye catching wine cellar and part open kitchen, the Cow Shed offers seasonal, modern Scottish food for lunch and dinner. Everything is homemade, from the bread you start your meal with, to the chocolates you finish with. The extensive wine list contains a broad selection of styles, countries and prices.

The Cow Shed is a newly opened restaurant on the edge of Banchory with wonderful views over pastoral Aberdeenshire. It is located in a building previously used for housing cattle which has been revitalised into a chic, contemporary eating establishment. Head chef Graham Buchan uses only the finest ingredients (many of which are locally sourced) to create a refined dining experience.

Crab and langoustine timbale, spinach, bree, fennel foam: "Visually stunning. The colourful timbale sat perched atop some leaves of wilted spinach. The bree/soup had been drizzled over the timbale and round the side of the plate. The dish was finished with some flecks of fennel foam." "The texture and flavour of the crab and langoustine was fantastic. Tender and juicy, but still retaining bite." "Superb flavour combinations and very appealing textures to the palate.
