Skerries Restaurant takes its name from some of Scotland's most northerly islands, drawing inspiration from our own Orcadian heritage.

The fruit of the rich waters around Orkney and Shetland are transformed into seafood dishes bursting with style and flavour by our expert chef. The best of the season's game and prime Scottish meats such as beef and lamb also vie for attention on his innovative menus. Skerries Restaurant within The Dunstane House Hotel is pleasantly placed just off the main ground floor reception area. On entry to the room there is a welcoming fire place, bookcases and interesting art work adorning the walls. High ornate corniced ceiling and extremely high skirting boards mingle with contemporary tables and chairs, creating a pleasant ambience enhanced by selective background music. The enjoyable food is complemented by friendly attentive and efficient service.

Rib-Eye Steak, Pepper Sauce, served with Chips and Salad - "The rib-eye steak looked fresh and appealing with shoestring chips and side salad adjacent. A small jug of pepper sauce was served separately." "The rib-eye steak was fairly tender, succulent and of good texture and flavour, confirming quality." "The side salad was fresh and unblemished, well dressed with appropriate components. The shoestring chips were freshly cooked with good flavour. The pepper sauce was of a good consistency, colour and subtle flavour."
