The Gallery Cafe at the Gallery of Modern Art, with its fine terrace overlooking the sculpture garden, makes this one of the best alfresco dining experiences in the city.  Summer and winter alike, the light airy buzz has made this a firm local favourite for many of our regulars, as well as for those who consider no trip to Edinburgh complete without a visit here.

Our kitchen team have established a reputation for imagination and a passion for what is fresh, local and seasonal and where possible free-range or organic.  Everything is made from scratch except for the bread!

The innovative menu includes delicious soups, tasty hot main dishes, salads, filled croissants and an amazing selection of salads.  The triumphant array of home baking is immense, from decadent chocolate brownie to ginger oat slice to lemon drizzle cake.
