La P'tite Folie

La P'tite Folie, 61 Frederick Street, Edinburgh, EH2 1LH

The French cinema posters adorning the walls of the Frederick Street branch of these sister restaurants may match the theme, but the decor is so French bistro as to border on pastiche.

La P'tite Folie - The Little Madness ' can now be enjoyed at 2 locations in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town.  Wherever you choose to dine both restaurants continue to provide delicious traditional French cuisine such as moules marinieres, breast of Barbary duck with prunes and Armagnac sauce and char-grilled sirloin steak with beurre 'Maitre d'hotel'.

    EatScotland Says:

La P'tite Folie is a welcoming friendly restaurant serving true French style food in a relaxing atmosphere. A real touch of France in the heart of Edinburgh.  Prior reservation is highly recommended as the establishment can be quite busy.

Grilled hake with béarnaise sauce: "The hake was well presented on a plate sitting on potatoes with green beans and mange tout surrounded by drizzled sauce béarnaise." "The fish was of good quality with firm moist flesh. All the other ingredients were also of good quality and had been freshly prepared." "The sauce béarnaise was well seasoned and added a rich creamy depth to the overall dish."
