At Perth Farmers Market there is an abundance of fresh ingredients and quality products, from slabs of fresh red meat and slippery oysters to green, leafy vegetables to home made cakes, pies and wines.
This array of fine fresh produce has inspired this years Food for Thought recipe card collection. The collection includes 24 recipes devised by local chefs and restaurants using fresh local market produce and features a wide range of information on where and when to buy local seasonal produce at it best. There is also a monthly cooking demonstration where local chefs prepare quick and easy dishes using seasonal ingredients from the market. Following the success of last years On Your Marks, Get Set, Cook Event we will be holding three live cook offs at the market. Competing against each other, some of Perthshires finest chef will be put on the spot and asked to produce tempting dishes from our market ingredients definitely not to be missed! The market takes place on the first Saturday of every month, running from 9am until 2 pm.
