Ralia Cafe @ Ralia opened on the 11th July 2005 on the site of a redundant Tourist Information Centre.
Ralia Cafe is owned by Robin Lambie who spent many years travelling up and down the A9 during careers in whisky and food manufacturing. He stopped at Ralia in October 2004 desperate for a cup of coffee!
EatScotland Says:
Ralia cafe offers an excellent chance to break a long journey on the A9 and to enjoy some first-rate home-made soups and freshly-made sandwiches. There are also plenty of snacks, muffins and other bakery items, as well as a range of hot beverages and cold drinks. Complimentary newspapers are provided for patrons, and Wifi internet access is also available.
Parsnip and Honey Soup: "A delicious, hearty soup, with excellent body." "Good strong taste of parsnip, with subtle undertones of honey. A classic combination."
Pastrami Sandwich, Smoked Salmon Sandwich: "The bread was very fresh, moist and tasty. The fillings were generous and full of flavour."
Blueberry Muffin: "Good, moist, crumbly texture." "Nice balance of sweetness with the sharper blueberries."
