All are welcome at Rhubarb, couples, families and tourists. We are something of a favourite celebrity hideaway. Our style is pretty grand and formal, yet relaxed. Richly decadent, stylish and very glamorous, Rhubarb occupies two grand Regency oval rooms hidden at the heart of the lavishly restored Prestonfield House. For private functions we have a spectacular collection of individual dining rooms. Most produce is from small artisan suppliers and our specialities include Skye scallops, Lindisfarne oysters, Black Gold beef, Borders hare and lamb, and our selection of desserts. Our wine list includes no fewer than 14 that are available by the glass.

Rhubarb is a very comfortable restaurant in the prestigious Prestonfield House hotel. The tables in the windows have excellent views of the gardens and guests can watch squirrels and Peacocks strutting around the gardens. Very fresh ingredients are used and there is an excellent choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes.
35 day dry aged sirloin of beef, three peppercorn jus, Boulangere potatoes and garden greens: "The sirloin was simply delicious and very tender while the garden greens were colourful and cooked well. The Boulangere potatoes were tender and had an excellent flavour."
