Lively, informal and buzzing. You may be in the heart of the country but there's nothing sleepy about the food, cocktails and ambience. Food is a blend of influences. You'll find every corner of the globe on the menu, from wasabi and prawn rolls of sticky rice and sea weed from Japan to Scottish venison with estate gooseberries for a regional influence.
Each day the a la carte menu is enhanced with a number of specials, seasonal dishes or something different from our suppliers and always a fresh fish or seafood dish. With its relaxed atmosphere this is a good choice for all the family, one section of the restaurant has a play area while the upper levels are a more grown up experience.
Quick lunches midweek are a speciality from the express menu. Here you can even be healthy choosing from the indicated items which will tempt the taste buds but not pile on the pounds. As the evening begins and after dinner the Brasserie is filled with people. Getting together over cocktails, one of the many wines by the glass or a continental beer. If the weather's warm the Brasserie terrace is the perfect spot to unwind with a cooling drink and watch, or join in, the game on the croquet lawn.
EatScotland Says:
The Brasserie Restaurant within the Crieff Hydro Hotel is a modern informal dining venue overlooking the Hotel's gardens. Contemporary design and furnishings complemented by friendly and helpful waiting staff.
Sliced Duck Breast, with Jordanian Style Bulghar, Roasted Plums and Sweet Harissa Dressing: "The sliced duck breast was presented in a professional way alongside the Bulghar and roasted plums." "The plums were cooked well with a subtle sweetness in the flavour that worked well with the duck. The Bulghar was flavoursome. The harissa dressing added spice to the dish."
