On entry to The Dungeon Restaurant, through an ancient stone stairway, you are seated in a barrel vaulted dungeon with weapons and armour adorning the stone walls. Crisp white linen and polished large wine goblets create elegance to enjoy the fine Scottish Castle's cuisine, served by diligent and efficient front of house staff.

Fillet of Scottish Beef, with Seared Foie Gras, Maderia Glaze, Pomme Anna and Roast Shallot: "The fillet of Scottish beef looked enticing with the seared slice of foie gras displayed on top and pommes Anna with roasted shallot to the side. Madeira jus was pooled around." "The beef fillet was of superb flavour, succulent and tender, confirming quality." "The foie gras was of soft texture and good flavour. Pommes Anna was buttery with good potato flavour. The shallot was full of flavour and cooked to a high standard. The Madeira jus was full bodied and glossy with good colour and consistency."
