The Galloway Smokehouse

The Galloway Smokehouse and shop is situated at Carsluith on the edge of Creetown, 8 miles out of Newton Stewart.  We offer a mouth-watering selection of hot and cold smoked salmon, trout and other fish, along with an extensive range of smoked meats, cheese and eggs.  Fish are cured with salt before smoking and dark syrup and black rum is also added to give a fuller flavour. After smoking, all products are vacuum packed to seal in the flavours and can be frozen.   As our smokehouse is on the premises,  if you would like to know more and  be shown around our smokers, please just ask in the shop!

Not only do we sell a wide range of smoked goods, but we also sell fresh fish, lobsters, crabs and other seafood as well as a selection of locally produced jams and pickles, biscuits, ice cream, chocolate and books on fish and game cookery.

If you have a special request such as smoking your own fish, the smokehouse will smoke and slice it to your requirements.
