The Glenlivet Distillery

The Glenlivet Distillery is a Five Star visitor attraction that offers free distillery tours. In-depth tours and tasting are available by advance booking. Coffee Shop, Gift Shop, Fill-Your-Own-Bottle and Exhibition. Open April - October

Revered by connoisseurs, flattered by imitators, The Glenlivet can only be made in one particular spot, in a single glen, in the heart of Scotland's malt whisky-making country. Explore the turbulent history of the whisky smugglers, delve into the intriguing mysteries of distilling and sample the golden magic that is The Glenlivet. We have FREE distillery tours running every 20 minutes from 9.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Saturday and 12.00pm to 4.00pm on Sundays. This tour lasts approx. 45 minutes and includes a guided tour of the distillery, a visit to one of our bonded warehouses and a complimentary dram of The Glenlivet. Please note children under the age of 8 are not permitted on the distillery tour. As well as our standard tour, we also run the Spirit of the Malt Tour. This tour includes a visit to Josie's Well (our water source), a distillery tour, a tutored tasting of 7 different expressions of The Glenlivet and a dram drawn straight from one the cask in our traditional dunnage warehouse. This tour costs £30 per person and must be pre-booked. New for 2013 is the Legacy Experience. This is an exclusive tasting of some very rare and aged The Glenlivet whiskies (some are so rare that they have not been bottled). This tasting then finishes with a dram in our dunnage warehouse and the presentation of an exclusive gift. This tasting costs £60 per person and must be pre-booked. At the Visitor Centre, we also have an Exhibition which has been updated for 2013 and gives you a fascinating insight into the history of The Glenlivet. Our Gift Shop has a wide range of whiskies and whisky-themed gifts for sale, and our Coffee Shop serves snacks and light refreshments including home-baking, homemade soup, filled rolls and baked potatoes. New for 2013 is the opportunity to fill your own personalised bottle of The Glenlivet 18 year old. We hope to welcome you in the near future. Slainthe!
