The Craighaar Hotel is pleasantly situated on the outskirts of Aberdeen. A warm welcome awaits you on entry and whilst dining in the Seasons Restaurant you are invited to take an aperitif in the library which is both contemporary in style with character wood panelling and interesting illuminated historical pictures adorning the walls. The Restaurant has crisp white linen and polished large wine goblets decorating the table and the furnishings complement that of the library. The food is enjoyable with a splendid choice of wines which is enhanced by the friendly attentive service from the staff.

Pan seared king scallops: "Aesthetically presented with good use of colour combinations. The scallops were set on cylindrical-shaped morsels of black pudding and interspersed by red/yellow pepper brunoise. A simple rocket salad was clumped in the centre of the plate garnished with a slice of orange." "The scallops were tender, juicy and tasted very fresh." "Good quality moist black pudding had been used." "Both main ingredients had been simply cooked to bring out their natural flavours and (in the case of the scallops) freshness."
