The Three Chimneys Restaurant

The Three Chimneys, Colbost, Dunvegan, Isle of Skye, IV55 8ZT

One of Scotland's most iconic Restaurants, flying the flag for fresh, Scottish food, high standards of cooking and excellent service.

It is rare that the food in any restaurant truly reflects its location quite as much as it does at The Three Chimneys on the Isle of Skye and this is something that has contributed to the restaurant's huge popularity over the past 30 years. The restaurant has flown the flag for Scotland and Scottish chefs in its unswerving use of delcious, Scottish ingredients as much as possible.

The great taste of local food is what the restaurant's worldwide reputation is most famous for. Although dishes are creative, modern and exciting in concept, they often have a traditional twist associated with Scotland's amazing culinary heritage. The genuine quality and seasonal freshness of the ingredients rarely fails to delight those tasting the finished dish when it is served to the table. There are a number of different Menus to choose from at both Lunch and Dinner, plus the iconic Skye Showcase Menu that has been developed over more recent years.  This can be served at the restaurant's famous Kitchen Table - a unique experience not-to-be-missed when visiting the Isle of Skye.

We are proud of our close association with a number of local vegetable, salad and fresh herb growers, as well as those who are able to offer us soft fruits and foraged ingredients in season.  Lobster, langoustines, brown crab, oysters, dived king scallops and mussels are all sourced locally.  Fresh white fish is delivered direct to our door from the fishing port of Mallaig on the nearby mainland.  Quality meat and game, including Skye lamb when available, is supplied by a local butcher, plus a number of Scottish game dealers throughout the year.  Scotland's natural larder is outstanding and Head Chef, Scott Davies, makes the most of every item avaiilable to him throughout the seasons.

We have an excellent Wine List prepared and managed by our Sommelier. A Wine Flight is available to pair with the 8-course tasting menu.  The Drinks list is comprehensive, including craft Scottish beers, in-house cocktails, many made with a range of Scottish gins.  We have a very good selection of single malt whiskies too.  Drinks can be served in the Lounge area of The House Over-By, for both house guests and restaurant customers, every evening before Dinner.
