Ullapool Bakery

At first we concentrated on traditional bakery products, but soon realised that farm markets and country shows provide a wonderful marketplace for the more speciality breads, flavoured oatcakes and shortbread that we enjoy baking far more.

We moved to Ullapool in October 2002 to take over the Bakehouse. We had holidayed in Scotland for over ten years and Ullapool was one of our favourite locations. The tranquillity and the pace of life was just what we wanted and when the bakery became available it was a dream come true.

At first we concentrated on traditional bakery products, but we soon realised, that farmers markets and country shows provided a wonderful market place for the more speciality breads, flavoured oatcakes and shortbread that we enjoy baking far more. Although we supply local shops, hotels and farm shops we mainly concentrate on farmers markets in Ullapool, Inverness, Dingwall and Elgin where we can talk directly to the customer.
