Beautifully situated on the north side of Loch Etive.
The Ardchattan Priory lies in an idyllic location overlooking Loch Etive. The priory is now a private house, but the ruins of the chapel and graveyard, now under the care of Historic Scotland, are open with the garden.
The garden, situated in front of the house, include a rockery, extensive herbaceous and rose borders, with excellent views. To the west of the house there are shrub borders and a wild garden, numerous roses and over 30 different varieties of trees and floral displays providing excellent autumn colour.
There are also several walks which visitors can enjoy through the grounds. These hark back to the site’s monastic origins, with names such as Monk’s Walk and Priory’s Walk.
