    Welcome to Argyll Voyageur Canoes.

    Argyll Voyageur Canoes

    Paddling Together Whatever The Weather

Come aboard the Voyageur and canoe Loch Goil, experiencing the breath-taking scenery of the Argyll Forest Park from the water.

Our canoe is 26 feet long and can accommodate up to ten people, the crew work as a team and share the manpower that is involved in paddling, making it much easier for all ages to participate!

All trips are bespoke so if you would prefer a more leisurely paddle book a shorter trip around the head of the Loch or for a longer day out you can voyage to Carrick Castle at the entrance to Loch Goil.

The canoe is well equipped with full safety equipment, paddles and buoyancy aids to fit all sizes.

Ian Prescott, who is from Lochgoilhead and has over 25 years experience of canoeing and kayaking, will be your guide and steersman.

Setting off from the car park at Lochgoilhead, where the Cowal Way passes by, customers can park for free (no overnight stays) and are able to use the local amenities. You will paddle down Loch Goil from the foot of Ben Donich winding between the magnificent mountains of the Beinn Bhuela and Cnoc Coinnich and Beinn Reithe. There is every chance of catching sight of herons, gannets, buzzards or even a golden eagle flying overhead. Porpoise and seals are often spotted swimming in the loch, deer roam among the hills, and red squirrels can sometimes be seen along the wooded shores.

Stopping at various locations along the Loch to disembark and have tea/coffee/hot chocolate and/or to eat your picnic.

Each trip can be tailored to suit the particular group.

You can book a place individually and share a journey with others or have the canoe exclusively for larger groups such as stags, hens or work parties.

Children of any age are welcome, young and old!

THANK YOU and hope to see you on-board!
