Bosta Iron Age House
Monuments & Ruins
Bosta Iron Age Forts on the Isle of Lewis were discovered after a series of rescue excavations in 1996.
This 1999 reconstruction was completed after pre-Norse houses were found in 1996 by an excavation team from Edinburgh University.
The original houses date from 400 - 800 AD and today you can visit one of the reconstructed houses for yourself.
