Overview
The Castle Douglas Art Gallery is a sister gallery of the Stewarty Museum in Kirkcudbright and features the work of local artists and craft groups, and regularly welcomes touring exhibitions. The gallery also plays host to a popular annual programme of temporary exhibitions.The gallery's town-centre location means you will find yourself surrounded by fantastic things to see and enjoy, such as Carlingwark Loch which is home to a wide species of water birds and, nearby, stands the magnificent Threave Castle and Gardens, a must-visit for your trip to this wonderful corner of Scotland.
