    With a countryside feel with extensive natural woodland areas, Castehill Estate is a small but popular park.

    This small park has a variety of activities for the visitor to enjoy. Walks through the woodland lead to a play area and assault course for the kids. There is also a picnic area to relax and enjoy the quiet atmosphere of this town park.

    The park also attracts variety of wildlife living amongst the trees, such as birds and squirrals. At dusk you can see a great number of bats out to feed.

    The highest area of the estate is covered in a beautiful Beech stand, which in spring time, when the leaves just start to emerge, the sunlight shining through them gives the area a magical quality.

    Getting there by railway:- Arriving at Ayr station is the closest station. Travel down the A713 Castlehill road as you reach Dalmellington road on the left is Castlehill Park.



    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Glasgow Prestwick International Airport turn Right onto the A79, straight over the first roundabout, then the 2nd exit at the next one, onto the A78. Then the A77 to Ayr. Continue down the A77 past Ayr until you reach a roundabout with an exit for the A713 Dalmellington Road. Take this exit and the 2nd road on the right is Castlehill Estate Park.



    Getting there by ferry:- From Troon harbour travel down the B749 then join the A77 to Ayr. Continue down the A77 past Ayr until you reach a roundabout with an exit for the A713 Dalmellington Road. Take this exit and the 2nd road on the right is Castlehill Estate Park.
