Centre 81 is a recently refurbished community centre offering a cafe, internet, free wi-fi, table tennis, outdoor equipment hire, nature trails and more.

Centre 81 is a recently refurbished community centre with hostel accomodation situated at the head of the Gare Loch in the picturesque highland village of Garelochhead on the Clyde coast.

We can provide you with anything from a spot of kayaking or canoeing, an indoor sports hall, ICT suite, seminar room, party venue with disco, bouncy castle and/or indoor climbing, a bed for the night to dinner, bed & breakfast.

We offer for hire:

Canadian Canoes and Kayaks including boyancy aids and paddles.

Walking boots

Wellington boots

Waterproof jackets and trousers

Road Directions

Centre 81 can easily be found in the Village of Garelochead.

From South - take the A82 north from Glasgow. The follow the coast road through Helensburgh A814 to Garelochhead. On entering the village take the first left just infront of the Church. Centre 81 can be found a few houses down on your left.

From North or West - Take the A83/A82 to Arrochar, then follow the coast road A814 (signposted Helensburgh) for 8 miles to a roundabout. Go straight on at roundabout and follow road down into the village. Take the second right and Centre 81 will be on your right.

From East - Once on the A82 go North along Loch Lomond. Take the A817 on the left (signposted Garelochhead) 9miles. At the 1st roundabout go left, at the 2nd go right. On entering the village take the first left just infront of the Church. Centre 81 can be found a few houses down on your left.
