Getting there by railway:- Trains from Glasgow Central to Ayr are every 30 minutes, on the hour and ½ hour. From the main entrance of Ayr Railway Station go forward onto Smith Street and turn right. Turn left onto Kyle Street and then go right onto High Street. Walk to the end of High Street and at traffic lights turn left onto Sandgate. Pass Ayr Tourist Information Centre on the right and continue to the roundabout. At roundabout take the 3rd exit into Fort Street and continue to roundabout. At roundabout go left into Harbour Street and continue to end of street and the car park for the Citadel Leisure Centre.

Getting there by aeroplane:- On exiting Glasgow Prestwick International Airport, turn left and follow signs for A79 (Ayr). At roundabout take 3rd exit towards Prestwick. Follow road through Prestwick into Ayr. Pass over Tams Brig and at roundabout take 2nd exit towards Police Station. At this roundabout take the 3rd exit and follow road to traffic lights. Go left onto New Bridge Street and through next traffic lights onto Sandgate. At roundabout take the 3rd exit into Fort Street and continue to roundabout. At roundabout go left into Harbour Street and continue to end of street and the car park for the Citadel Leisure Centre.

Getting there by ferry:- From Troon Ferry Terminal, follow signs for Town Centre. Turn left and proceed to traffic lights where you turn left onto Portland Street. At the junction with B746(west), go forward at traffic lights to mini roundabout and follow road to Loans. At next mini roundabout, turn right (B746) and at roundabout take the 2nd exit to join the A78. At Monktonhead roundabout take the 4th exit and follow road to next roundabout. Take the 2nd exit at roundabout and continue on this road to the roundabout at Prestwick Airport. At roundabout outside Airport, turn left and follow signs for A79 (Ayr). At roundabout take 3rd exit towards Prestwick. Follow road through Prestwick into Ayr. Pass over Tams Brig and at roundabout take 2nd exit towards Police Station.
