Founded by designer maker Clare O’Neill in 2013, we hand make bags, accessories, homewares, gifts and a small collection of kid’s clothes. Our design studio and workshop is located in the heart of Fife, Scotland where all our products are manufactured on site by us!
Tucked away in the unassuming Fife landscape the Clare O’Neill studio is a hive of activity. Having our brand firmly rooted in the Scottish countryside Clare’s designs are infused with a heritage based upon considered traditional luxury craftsmanship.
Clare designs our range taking inspiration from the heritage of the materials she uses and always has a watchful eye on the latest trends within the fashion industry, but essentially she designs what she likes! “Ultimately its the materials you work with which dictates the direction you take with a product, it is always a challenge. I love happy accidents in the studio, sometimes I unintentionally stumble upon some of my best ideas.”
Clare dedicates hours to researching techniques and sourcing fabrics, leathers and hardware in order to create a truly unique and quality product. ‘We use only the finest Scottish Tweeds in our products sourcing from as far south as the Borders of Scotland all the way up to the Outer Hebrides. We use beautiful full grain leathers tanned in truly sumptuous colours and delicate leather skins to give our products a rich and luxurious finish.
It’s a team effort! Clare O’Neill is supported by an incredibly talented and dedicated team of people. ‘The business has grown considerably over the last two years and so now I am fortunate to have hands on help!’ From studio assistants and machinists who help make up the orders, through to bookkeeping and administrative support enables Clare to fulfil her dream of building a luxury Scottish brand. ‘Every day is an exciting adventure with plenty of twists and turns, I wouldn’t have it any other way!’
