Claypotts Castle is an unusually complete tower house built in the late 16th century for the Strachan family.
An outstanding example of 16th century architecture, this castle in Dundee boasts circular towers at diagonally opposite corners, corbelled out to form overhanging cap houses.
Claypotts Castle was built in the late 16th century by John Strachan and later became the property of ‘Bonnie Dundee’ John Graham of Claverhouse.
