Clience Studio

Galleries

212 King Street, Castle Douglas, Dumfries And Galloway, DG7 1DS

Visit the Clience Studio in the beautiful village of Castle Douglas where you can admire the atmospheric watercolour and oil images of Angela Lawrence.

Clience Studio is a friendly, welcoming gallery for you to browse or buy affordable originals, prints or other art gifts by Angela Lawrence.

Gathering inspiration from the beautiful coastal scenery of the Solway and Colvend coast, and from nearby landscapes of the Galloway Hills, Angela Lawrence paints expressive watercolour and oil images.

The gallery is open throughout the year and offers you the chance to view a large portfolio of paintings ranging from a representational style, to glimpses and impressions of landscape which are more semi-abstract. The newest series of work produced by Angela focuses on the sea close-up; it is called "Sea Spirits”, inspired by the sea in both Galloway and the Outer Hebrides. Angela received a Visual Arts Award from Creative Scotland and Dumfries and Galloway Arts council for this work.
