Founded by the Duke of Sutherland in 1819, the Clynelish Distillery is steeped in history and full of flavour.
Clynelish Distillery is located at the popular coastal holiday town of Brora, around one hour north of Inverness, with beautiful views of the North Sea and the hills to the north. Here, the Clynemilton burn runs over seams of gold in the rock. With this water, the distillery produces a fruity, waxy, slightly smoky single malt Scotch whisky from six traditional copper stills and is used extensively for blending. Clynelish 14-year-old Highland single malt Scotch whisky is also available at the distillery and selected outlets in bottles which feature the distillery symbol, a wildcat.
Clynelish Distillery offers a variety of tours including private and group bookings. A warm welcome awaits every visitor to Sutherland's only distillery.
