Crieff, Dornock and Ferntower Golf Courses

Built on gently sloping parkland that was once the grounds of Ferntower House, the nine-hole Crieff Dornock course provides a fair, but challenging experience for all abilities.

At 2,321 for nine holes the Dornock is decidedly short, but still a stern test to the unwitting challenger. It is ideal for a quick nine, or as part of a thirty-six-hole package for golfers who wish to make a day of it. It is a fine version of the more famous Ferntower course, but on a more modest scale. There are wonderful views of the local Perthshire countryside and many come for that fact alone.

Ferntower is a lovely course with stunning views of the Strathearn Valley. Its relatively wide fairways and a distinct lack of heavy rough should, however, not be taken lightly, as it has a nasty bite at times. It's not just the variety of the holes that provide the challenge, the weather often plays a part in the shaping your round. Plus, it opens with a par three, a delightful change from the norm. Don't let that fool you, though. As there are no less than three par fives to contend with on the opening nine holes.
