Horse enthusiasts of all ages and abilities at welcome at Crieff Hydro Riding Centre. Whether it’s your first time in the saddle or if looking to sharpen up your equestrian skills, our qualified instructors are on hand to help.

Whether you’re local to the area and want to improve your equestrian skills, or if you’re a guest at Crieff Hydro looking for a leisurely way to explore the area, the Crieff Hydro Riding Centre has everything you need.

Set in 900 acres of beautiful Perthshire country side and a wealth of trekking trails around the estate, Crieff Hydro Riding Centre also has two high-quality silica sand and rubber equestrian arenas; one floodlit outdoor arena (20x40m) and one indoor arena (44x22m) – perfect for riding whatever the weather.  The Centre also has a superb range of show jumps and working hunter jumps as well as practice cross-country fences.

And with over 50 horses and ponies, most of which have been lovingly reared and trained on-site, we’re ideally placed to match you with a trusty steed or more forward-going ride, depending on your experience and ability. 

As well as riding tuition, we regularly hold equestrian events, competitions and host visiting specialist instructors.  Our events include: out-of-school clubs, summer kids’ clubs, “own a pony” days, showjumping and dressage clinics and competitions.  We also offer stable management training and exam preparation for BHS, SVQ and TRSS qualifications.  There’s a variety of accommodation available on-site too if you’d prefer a residential course.  You're welcome to bring your own horse too.

Open seven days a week, Crieff Hydro Riding Centre is approved both by the British Horse Society (BHS) as well as the Trekking and Riding Society for Scotland (TRSS) so you can be sure you’re in safe hands.
