    Situated next to Ayr College, Dam Park Stadium is an athletics facility with many features.

    Dam Park Stadium is a 10 minute walk from Ayr Town Centre and a 5 minute walk from Ayr Railway Station.

    The stadium boasts an eight lane track with a polymeric surface and provision for field events including two long jump run ups and pits, one high jump run up and landing area and two pole vault run ups. It also has two javelin run ups and a cage for throwing events. The stadium's field area can also hold football matches.

    The Pavilion has five changing rooms, two toilet and shower blocks, two storerooms for equipment and a general purpose area. There is seating for 478 spectators in the Pavilion and a press box.

    Public Transport Directions

    Getting there by railway:- Trains from Glasgow Central to Ayr are every 30 minutes, on the hour and ½ hour. The Stadium is a 10 minute walk from Ayr Station. From the main entrance to the station proceed forward onto Smith Street and turn left. Walk to the end of Smith Street, turn left, and walk under the railway bridge. Turn left and head towards the Civic Theatre and Fire Station at roundabout. At the roundabout take the third exit towards Ayr College. Dam Park Stadium is on the right behind Ayr College.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- At roundabout outside Glasgow Prestwick International Airport, turn left and follow signs for A79 (Ayr). At roundabout take 3rd exit towards Prestwick. Follow road through Prestwick into Ayr. Pass over Tams Brig and at roundabout take 2nd exit towards Police Station. At this roundabout take the 2nd exit onto King Street and follow road to roundabout at Fire Station. Take the 2nd exit at roundabout and pass Ayr College. Dam Park Stadium is situated on the right behind the college.

    Getting there by ferry:- From Troon Ferry Terminal, follow signs for Town Centre. Turn left and proceed to traffic lights where you turn left onto Portland Street. At the junction with B746(west), go forward at traffic lights to mini roundabout and follow road to Loans. At next mini roundabout, turn right (B746) and at roundabout take the 2nd exit to join the A78. At Monktonhead roundabout take the 2nd exit and follow road to Dutchhouse roundabout and take the 2nd exit onto A77 (Ayr). Go through the Sandyford Toll roundabout and follow A77 to Whitletts roundabout. Take the Ayr North exit at roundabout and proceed down Whitletts Road. Pass Tesco and Racecourse and at traffic lights turn left onto Craigie Road.
