Dens Park

Dens Park Stadium is the home of Dundee Football Club.

Dens Park Stadium lies in the Hilltown area of Dundee, about 1.5 miles (2.5 km) from Dundee city centre.

Dundee have played at Dens Park since 1899 and following the team's promotion to the Scottish Premier League in the 1998/1999 season, the ground was upgraded to SPL standards to give an all-seated capacity of just over 12,000.

There are four main seating areas at Dens Park Stadium: the original North and South Stands, and the two new stands, the Bob Shankley Stand and the Bobby Cox Stands, which are positioned behind each goal. The facilities within these stands and the view of the playing action are excellent.

The Main (North) Stand is unusual in that it is slightly curved in shape, meaning that those sitting near the half way line are furthest away from the playing action. It is two-tiered although the bulk of the seating is in the upper portion of the stand. The South Stand is single tiered but is unusual in that it only runs for about two-thirds of the length of the pitch.

Dens Park may be small but the Dark Blue fans always manage to generate a fair amount of noise and a great atmosphere on match days.
